About
Joseph Trower
Real estate developer, investor, international business consultant and philanthropist.
Four strands of work, held together by a single discipline: read the situation carefully, commit to it for the long term, and see it through to the end.
The current focus is a gated community of thirty-eight luxury estate homes — a project planned as a whole and built to one standard, rather than assembled lot by lot.

How the work is done
A development, a portfolio and a cross-border arrangement fail for much the same reason: a detail nobody took the trouble to check. The work begins with that detail — the ground, the counterparty, the paperwork, the way a thing is actually done in that place.
From there it is a matter of patience. Properties are held and improved rather than turned over. Advice is given to businesses that intend to still be operating in a decade. Houses are built from materials chosen for how they will look long after the handover, not on the day of it.
Philanthropy runs alongside rather than after. Support is directed at the causes he chooses, and given without the announcement that usually accompanies it.

The standard
A house, a portfolio and a cross-border arrangement all fail the same way. The discipline is to find that failure early, and then to hold the standard once it is found.
